A project born from passion (and necessity)

Oinkoin is an open-source project built with care and attention to detail. Behind it there is a single person — the main developer — along with a couple of incredible open-source contributors who help improve the app, fix bugs, and add features.

It started because I needed an expense tracker I could trust. Every app I tried was either packed with ads, collecting my data, pushing a subscription, or way too complicated for what should be a simple tool. So I built my own — and decided to share it with everyone.

There is no corporation, no VC funding, and no team of paid developers. Just a genuine effort to create a simple, private, and beautiful expense tracker that anyone can use without being tracked, served ads, or locked into a subscription.

Every donation, no matter how small, makes a real difference. It helps cover infrastructure costs, supports development time, and — most importantly — shows that people care about this project and want to see it thrive.
